Mould on breast pump

It is one of those days!

I have a really sore breast, possibly a blocked milk duct so I thought I would express after each feed to help try and clear it.

I haven't used the pump for about 3 weeks and it has mould on it. It looks as if it is coming off - but should I not use it and buy a new one as I will need to express when I go back to work.

Ahh, have been poring hot water through and there is a definite pink tinge to the pump bit - I need to throw it don't I? Blush

If you sterilise, I reckon it's okay for pump and dump, but wouldn't use it for expressing for use.

Could you post a wanted on Freecycle on the offchance someone has the same model but a different part broken and is happy to give you their pump bit? Loooong shot I know . . .
