Feeding from one side - Supply question

Possibly a silly question, but if you don't ask...

My nearly 7 month old BF baby is being a nightmare at night at the minute, and as a result is back in my bed with me. Because of set-up and such, I find that I usually feed him from my left side during the night.

I make an effort to feed him from the right in the day, but wondered whether this would make any difference to my supply? Is it OK to feed one side in the day and the other at night?

DS is feeding very well, and engorgement doesn't seem to be a problem, for some reason.

Thanks

Noodle I'm not trained but would have thought it would all be fine, by this stage your supply will be well established and should cope easily with this new adjustment.

If his sleep is a problem have a read of this and you may be able to get this or this book from your library Xmas Smile.

That's great Julie. Thanks.

Hi sleep is a nightmare no matter what we do! He simply will not stay asleep more than 45 minutes at a time unless I'm either snuggled right into him or my hand is on his tummy. I've given up trying to get him in a cot for now, so we co-sleep. It seems to help and on a good night he can go 3 hours between waking.

It's difficult to swap sides in the night though without kicking DH out of bed, and there's little point us bth being up half the night. At least if he has a good night he can help me more in the day time!

Thanks again

I've been doing that sort of feeding for the last 3 months or so. DS is 9 months. All seams fine. I just tend to favour the right breast during the day.

Thanks Hazchem. Will keep it up then. The last thing I need now is supply problems so just wanted to check.

I did mainly left-boob feeding for ages, supply was/is higher in that boob but has been fine!
