Feeding battle - dd fighting the bottle

Dd is 12 weeks old and formula fed. Recently every feed has become a constant battle. She fights the bottle by pushing it out of her mouth and shaking her head around violently. At first she would calmly take some of the bottle and then get unsettled but now she won't take anything without a fight. I just don't know what to do, she screams if I try and keep the bottle in her mouth, but screams with hunger when I take it away! We are now at the stage where I am having to try and feed her almost constantly because she will take so little at a time.
Has anyone else experienced this? I really don't know what could be wrong it's heartbreaking to see her so upset all of the time. She also has reflux so we have a lot of vomit to deal with as well

My DD was very similar at a similar age, and it was her reflux. When she was put on Ranitidine in addition to gaviscon, it got noticeably better. Is your DD on meds for her reflux?

She still struggles sometimes, but it has definitely improved. She's 5 months. Maybe a visit to the GP?

I had thought that this was a separate problem but maybe it is all due to the reflux. She was prescribed gaviscon but we stopped giving it to her as it made her really constipated, and she was so uncomfortable with that it was as bad as the reflux!
I've been back to the GP since but he didn't want to prescribe anything else as she has been putting weight on well. He just told me to talk to the health visitor who was no help at all!

What bottles are you using? dd was like that with tommeetippee ones but I thought is was because she was bf. When I was ill and had to stop bfing at 8 months the only bottles she would take were Mam ones. She also had reflux.

dtds have mix feeds and take mam bottles brilliantly. The teats are very different to others I've seen. Might be worth a try.

Good luck x

We are using dr brown bottles - we had tommee tippee at first but got dr browns as we thought her evening screaming sessions might be due to colic. I'm reluctant to change again as it took her a long time to get used to the different bottles and now won't take tommee tippee any more. I'll go and have a look at the mam bottles though.
Has anyone found an improvement in reflux symptoms when changing milks? I was thinking of trying comfort milk but the health visitor told me not to bother.
