Winter medicines thread for BFers with the snuffles <hack, splutter>

Okay - so I've tried paracetamol, olbas oil hankies and menthol inhalations and still I feel like my face is going to fall off every time I bend over Sad. I know I can't take traditional cold and flu capsules/drinks but wondered if any of you experienced BFers had any remedies (over the counter, herbal or homemade) you could recommend before my DH is forced to divorce me on the grounds of unrelenting whining

I've got a nasty cold at the moment. Paracetamol hasn't even touched it :(
I've found hot lemon with honey and a slice of Ginger (or agood slug of ginger wine if you have it) helps to ease a cough, and a hot cloth pressed on sinus areas seems to relieve the pain a bit, but nothing works like beechams flu plus, which I don't think you can take when BFing.
Ds has started with a nasty barking cough, but no temperature. I hope he's not getting croup.

Ginger with hot lemon is yummy! Not sure if working but placebo effect must count for something or maybe is the kilo of chocolate am cramming away
