Breastfeeding Armchair?

Hello

I would appreciate some shopping help from you experts. We are planning an armchair for the babys room and planning to go look in IKEA. As a first time mum I am not sure exactly what I am looking for, but I dont want one of those specific BF ones with a footstool as it will take up the whole room (and I actually dont much like the style).

Can anyone recommend what I am looking for - should I be imaginging to rest the baby on the arms or to fit us both in the seat ifyswim? I suspect I won't be the first to go to IKEA for this equipment so if someone has done the hard work I'd love it if you shared.

I'm not set on IKEA of course so other suggestions welcome.

Thanks in advance!

I got This one from IKEA, it's been pretty good, i use it with a widgey cushion on my lap which tucks in neatly within the arms and is still going strong with DS at 6 months. He now dangles hs feet over one of the arms as he's longer than the cushion now, but seems comfortable enough.

Not Ikea but I utterly love my gliding chair from Tutti Bambino. Brilliant for BFing and still great for rocking DD to sleep aged 15mo. Only problem is it's so comfy I fall asleep too!! Got mine second hand of eBay for about £50, worth every penny.

I have an Argos knock off Poang in the DDs room but to be honest it's only when they are in their own room have I used it (so from 1yr+).

It is nice and bouncy though Grin

If I were you, I'd forget the chair and invest in a king sized bed! Grin
