I have had a horrible cold, it?s going a bit now but I have really blocked sinuses with pain all across my cheeks and into my molars :( Is there any thing I can take for them, I have been using steam over the weekend which was helping but not v practical at work!

I?m only feeding twice a day and DS is 15m next week, if that makes any difference?

Have you tired a nassale spray, just a saline one I find that does help. Pluss paracetomol for the pain. You can't take decogestants as they work by drying up bodily fluids, which includs your milk. So it doesn't matter how little your feeding.

thanks, I thought as much re decongestants. Hadn't thought of a nasal spray though, will try that, thanks.

you can use nasal sprays like otrivene info from kellymom

as the three of us seam to be passing snotty noses to each other I've taken to putting a baby friendly vapor oil on our pillows and top of the mattress. it really helps.

Decongestants are actually worse later on (as per the Kellymom link), as they seem to have more of an effect on supply Sad. I believe that there is still ongoing research.

Steam when you're at home. Olbas oil, nasal spray, and much sympathy from me. I fed DD1 until I was pregnant with DD2 and, as a result, haven't been able to use decongestants for the winter colds since the winter of 2007. Tis grim.
