I thought that I'd stave them off whilst DS is breast-feeding, but no it's just arrived. I know that at nine months post-partum it was bound to happen soon, but I kind of hoped it's stay away until I gave him his last feed (he currently feeds at least five times a day and is still feeding at night).

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR Angry Not fair! [lilred stamps feet]

Mine came back within 2 months. I was seriously pissed off.

LilRedWG · 25/11/2011 11:01

Poor you. :(

I actually panicked a bit when I wiped and saw blood, then just thought, "Oh no! Not yet, please".

Mine came back at about the same time as you op with all 3 dcs. Dd and ds1 had stopped night feeds by then, but ds2 still fed at night or way longer.

2 months!!!! Not fair sd. Not fair at ALL!

Methe · 25/11/2011 11:07

5 weeks post partum with dc1, 6 weeks with dc2!

9 months is AGES.

LilRedWG · 25/11/2011 11:11

Wow methe - that's just not fair for you. I feel agreived at nine months.

I know, awful eh.. Wink

whysolate · 25/11/2011 11:20

I'd be gutted too!

I wondered where my periods were when I had DC2 and thought it was because of EBF. It wasn't, I was pregnant and very much Shock

SoupDragon · 25/11/2011 11:31

This was with all 3 EBF children too. I think that with the third, I had less than week between finishing post partum bleeding and first period. I was cheated

MotherPanda · 25/11/2011 11:33

Soup dragon, I was exactly the same! Lochia finished at 3 weeks, period came at 4 weeks, then 8 and 12...

midori1999 · 25/11/2011 11:58

My baby is 5 months old and EBF and my cycles are all over the place. Third period PP was two weeks ago and now I am having some pinkish stuff/starting another 'period' now. Goodness knows what is going on! Confused

Wiseoldself · 25/11/2011 12:09

Mine came back four weeks post section, was not happy at all!!!

ReshapeWhileDamp · 25/11/2011 12:14

Sad for all the cheated bfers. Mine came back 7 months in with DS1 and we are at 11 months with DS2 now, and still nothing. I've taken to carrying my mooncup in my changebag, just in case, as I seem to remember that they reappeared very suddenly last time. Hmm

(paranoid emoticon - 11 months, and I would say I feed DS2 less frequently than DS1. Should I be worried?)

LilRedWG · 25/11/2011 12:38

LOL at reshape - pregnancy test this afternoon?

Ha! That'll be an Immaculate Conception then! Grin Bastard cosleeping.

(No, I do know that's not exactly what's meant by the Immaculate Conception. Grin)

ShowOfHands · 25/11/2011 12:51

13 weeks with dd
5 weeks with ds

I feel your pain.

ReshapeWhileDamp · 25/11/2011 13:37

Sad Showy. Really not fair, is it? Not sure what I'm doing right with DS2 as I really don't think I feed him as often as I did DS1.

ShowOfHands · 25/11/2011 13:44

With dd I fed at least 2 hourly from birth until 7 months. I think it's just a combination of fertility, hormones, age etc. One egg, that's all it takes and the hormones are off again. Don't feed for 6 hours and it's enough for ovulation to be triggered. Less for me apparently. Robbed I was. With ds, I'd just started to heal after my cs wound reopened and bam, killer period.
