3 nights away from BF 17 mo- will i lose my supply?

DH wants to take the DC to see his parents for the weekend- I work weekends and have no annual leave left so I can't go.

DD2 is 17mo and still BF in the morning, at bedtime and occasionally during the day. I am not too worried about how she'll cope without me, as DH usually puts her to bed on weekends and she generally accepts that if I'm not there, there is no milk! But I am worried that 3 days without her will mean the end of my supply and she will be really upset when she sees me and wants milk.

I will probably feed her on Thurs evening then won't see her again until Sun night. Is that too long?

I got rid of the breastpump a long time ago (she is a bottle refuser) and I'm reluctant to get a new one just for 3 days- do you think I will need one to keep my supply?

Thanks in advance!

I don't think you need to worry. Your milk supply will be so well established now that 3 days away won;t make it dry up. In any case DD2 will probably make sure to increase it again when she's back.

This is my experience anyway. My DP regularly takes our DS to see his family for a week or more and has done since DS was 18 months old.
