Tried to pick the most discreet place in the cafe with DH - turned out to be possibly the least discreet! But DS behaved perfectly and it wasn't as terrifying as I imagined it would be. Glad DH was there though :)

Yey well done, I can remember when I first managed it without my cover I was so chuffed with myself. You'll get more confident the more you do it, I do the vest down top up thing now and am much more confident.

Well done it gets easier every time - the only time someone mentioned it to me was an old guy who passed me sat on the grass, I thought he was about to comment negatively as I had heard so many horror stories about people being horrible about it and all he said was "well done, best thing you could do for him"

It restored my faith in people and now with ds2 I almost want someone to comment so I could say the little speech in my head about it being the most natural thing etc I'd certainly stand up for others now like the lady on the bus thread
