Combining expressed milk from 2 different days??

Hi all!
Firstly, apologies to keep banging on about expressing!! Will get there eventually I'm sure. In the meantime was hoping for some advice....

I'm having trouble expressing more than 1/2 oz in one sitting and I was wondering if it was ok to combine expressed milk from lots of sessions over say 2/3 days in order to get a complete feed? My plan is to have a little container in the freezer which I keep topping up as and when I find time to express so I always have an emergency stash of milk if we need it. I guess my questions are is this safe to do (won't be in the freezer for longer than the recommended guidelines of course and will be defrosted safely when we come to use it) and has anyone experience of this? Any comments or suggestions very welcome. Thanks, and have lovely weekends xxx

If you refridgerate the newest milk before adding it to either frozen milk or other refridgerated milk that is fine. You have to treat it as the oldest milk though so if you express milk on Monday and refridgerate that then express some more on Tuesday that you add to the Monday milk you have to treat all of it as though it was Monday milk (i.e. keep for 5 days from Monday not 5 days from Tuesday).

I used to only express very small amounts so had bottles of stripy milk in the freezer with 3 or 4 or even more bands of milk in the bottle Grin. Very nice to look at though Wink bit like those sand pictures.

It looks really weird it the bottle tilted while it froze then the next layer froze flat! Hours of fun to be had with that!
