Dd is constantly pushing her hand into my boob and pulling off, then going back on any idea why?

Its quite common for six month olds, I think - have you tried a toy or nursing necklace to distract?

No not tried that I've tried giving her my hand to hold but that doesn't work which made me think it was something to do with milk flow

she may have found that it helps with the letdown? she's doing her own breast compressions :) it's fairly common (at least, miine all did it!)

Thats what i thought but thought it was odd that she keeps pulling right off

Mine does this too- very frustrating!! I got a necklace and he pulls off to gum it Angry. Also tries to get his thumb in, and then his fist while he sucks, loses the latch and does my head in doesn't get full feed grrrr. No solutions, just a knowing Smile.

My 5 month old DS does this too. He also can't quite understand that his fist and my breast don't both fit in his mouth at the same time. A nursing necklace helps for us or something like a muslin in his hand.
