DD is 8 weeks old and since she was 6 weeks old she has been taking a bottle of expressed milk every night. Since the past 2 nights she is refusing to take the bottle and throws a tantrum. Any help/advise/suggesstions are welcome.

Could she be teething- teats can be sore on gums... Or maybe she just prefers boob!! I always felt a bit put out when my ds took anything going!! Don't get me wrong- I'm soo glad he will take a bottle but sometimes, deeply hidden, I wish he would refuse bottle in favor of boob!!Smile

Marking place as in exactly same situation. There are loads of similar threads if you search. Looking for the silver bullet though!

Nearly the same here - our girl has been taking a bottle happily since three weeks, but now at ten weeks is refusing. I wondered about teething as she is dribbling a lot but thought it didn't start this early? I'm not looking forward to it! Congratulations!

Baby's can be born with teeth so it can start this early.

I know it's a pain for you but it could be she's just after the comfort from the breast. I take it some one else is giving the bottle, maybe you try going out while this bottle is being given.

Personaly I think she's rather clever why have a rubber teat when you can have the reall thing.
