Getting engorged, leaking, forceful letdown again at 4 months! Why??

Got rid of breast pads about a month ago and then all of a sudden in the last couple of days I have had copious leaking between feeds, engorged breasts almost all the time (that don't seem to go down much after a feed) and forceful letdown again that sprays my baby and makes him choke :(

Have done nothing different. Have not expressed at all. He seems to be feeding as per usual. He has been waking more in the night but hasnt been feeding that much more than before(4 month sleep issues I think, although he has never been the best night sleeper and has always fed at least 2 to 3 times overnight).

Any ideas??

Growth spurt?

I used to let the first bit of milk squirt into a muslin and then let Baby Goo back on.

Hope it settles soon. PITA isn't it?

Maybe.... but he doesn't seem to be feeding much more than usual. I cant be too sure as I'm not one for noting down feed times etc, but I haven't been tied to the sofa feeding.

I just thought that at this stage my supply was pretty stable and I wouldn't get fluctuations like this :( The one thing I hate about bf.

Hi! Does anyone have any surplus milk they'd like to give me?? :) If so, can you email me? [email protected]
