My DD is 20 weeks old and EBF She has always slept well at night, sometimes sleeping through. In the last few weeks she's started feeding more at night. We co sleep and I couldn't say how often she feeds really, some nights more than others, but my breast are never full in the morning and although there's milk there they are emptyish. I'm fine with the night feeds.

However, during the day DD doesn't usually feed much at all. She has never been that hungry and has gone 3-4 hours between feeds for ages, even when she slept through. This morning we got up at 7.30 and DD had been feeding on and off for ages until then, but since then I've offered a couple of feeds and she's only stayed on for literally a minute each time. It's not uncommon for her to only have 4 feeds a day between getting up at around 7 and starting to sleep for the night at around 7pm. Quite often her daytime 'feeds' are only a few minutes, less than 5. I cannot get her to feed if she doesn't want to.

Weight gain, nappies etc are all fine. I'm not worried, she sleeps well at night other than feeding, which she's sometimes asleep for most of anyway. I assume she's takingmost of her feeds at night, but she hasn't got her sleeping patterns muddled up. I don't mind it. In fact, it quite suits me, but will it just change round again if I just go with it?

Good that you're not worried, everything sounds OK to me. They go through these funny little phases, especially around the 4 month mark (or thereabouts). You could try offering more during the day or feeding somewhere with fewer distractions but things should just work out on their own. I think around this age they become more aware of what's going on around them so they are having a good old nosy!
