I'm hoping to get some advice. My 1 year old currently has a bottle of cows milk first thing in the morning and in the evening before bed. I have been told I should now try and get him to drink his milk from a beaker or cup.
He currently drinks water during the day from a beaker and is fine with that, however, when we try and give him the beaker with milk he refuses to drink it and just throws it on the floor and screams his head off.
I have tried holding it for him and letting him hold it himself, but neither works as he just wants his bottle. I have tried different types of cups and beakers, also tried straws, but nothing works.
He gets lots of milk in his food, so I am not too worried about the morning milk, but he certainly wouldn't go to sleep without his evening milk. At the moment we keep giving in and letting him have the bottle as it's heart breaking to see him get so upset.
Does anyone have any advice on how to get him to drink the milk himself from a cup/beaker?
