6.5 mo old DS2 is pretty much on a nursing strike through the day. I manage maybe 3 very fussy 5 minute feeds, which he really objects too. Come bedtime it's a whole different story - from his bedtime feed to morning, his usual pattern is one 3-4 hour sleep stretch, then BFs every 2 hours. These are proper feeds, for about 10-15 minutes, not just quick sucks to get back to sleep (he self settles anyway, at naptimes, bedtime and after night feeds). this has been building up for a while now, we've gradually reached this point over the last couple of months (he used to sleep through).
I've tried just feeding him more during the day, but he won't have it. I've tried taking him somewhere quiet, but it doesn't make much difference. I think he's just so distracted by life (toddler brother, things to see and do) that he's not interested in feeding all day, and not hungry anyway because of his midnight feasting. I've tried not feeding him at night before 3 hours have passed, and DH trying to settle him instead. He screams blue murder.
Any ideas for turning this around? Or is it just a phase which will pass? We're BLW and he eats quite well for a BLW baby, but not loads in the scheme of things so I don't think it's solids filling him up through the day.
