hi
I've googled, but wondered how much you feed dc once they are weaning / weaned
I always used to bf so wasnt to worried, but now bar morning feed ds (7mo) is bottle fed, and that combined wth his healthy weaning appetite is making me worried I might be over feeding him..... I have been having to give him bottles in 8oz as hes been on gavisgon, but now hes coming off that I'm adapting slightly
He's been on 50th centile, but hv was very Hmm when I phoned to make an appt to weigh him, even though I explained why....
At the mo his day is liek this -
7.30am ish Bf
8.30am ish half weetabix mixed with 1oz formula & fruit together
11 ish 8oz bottle
1ish lunch puree, vegi / fruit type (home made unless out)
3.30is 80x bottle
6 tea puree - usually veg / chicken mix then fruit puree
730ish 8oz bottle
11 ish 6oz bottle
he usually takes all of bottle, sometimes leave 1-2oz...
does that sound ok?
thanks!

sounds fine to me! he needs a minimum of 20oz that can be added to with yog, cheese etc.

my ds4 was a milk monster and had 4 9oz bottles at this age. my dd not a milk fan and had 4 4-5oz bottles, then i made her porridge etc with formula to top her up a bit.
he will let you know if he wants more/less :)

Doesn't sound like too much to me. DD2 is 9 months and has 4 bottles a day (sleeps til morning). She has 2 x 7oz (morning and bed time) then 2 of 5 or 6 oz. I add cow's milk to porridge/cereal and she eats yogurt at least a couple of times a week.
