Echinacea and Breastfeeding

I have a horrible cold - am I right in thinking I cant take over the counter remedies? I was wondering if Echinacea is ok to try and stop from getting another

pupuce is it okay to take if you're pregnant or is that a no no?

(she says as dh and ds generously shares their cold with her...)

I think it is OK but on that one I am not 100% sure....

According to this news article its not safe during pregnancy.

Thank you pie, I've been avoiding it just in case anyway...

Is Olbas oil/Karvol in my room to help me breathe at night safe or is that "dodgy" too do you know?

yes it's fine but there is NO evidence it works so don't waste your money.

Georgina A - you can get Karvol that's suitable for babies after 3 months, but my doctor said I could use it for my baby before 3 months when she had a cold as long as i didn't put it directly on her clothes or bedding, just on a tissue in the same room, so i guess it's ok.
