Help! My 4 day old son is bottle fed but he's not taking enough in. He won't move his tongue from the roof of his mouth and he gives up on sucking the teat frequently. Any advice much aprechiated.

Could he be tounge tied? Did they check at the hospital? Mine were bf but 2 out of three were tongue-tied and they couldn't stick their tongues out at all and it would rest at the roof of the mouth. Get the midwife or hospital to check just in case. It is not a big issue if they are - just a quick snip to release it, they normally book you in at a weekly clinic.

Otherwise, I don't know - try different teats maybe?
