Biting. Yowch

DD is 11 weeks and a voracious feeder

I have very productive breasts and a fierce let down

She keeps biting me.

I sometimes let some milk squirt out before letting her latch on if my breast is very full. It's usually towards the end of the feed so I don't think it's an attempt to slow the flow.

What can I do to stop her hurting me? We've just recovered from thrush and now this. It's an awful lot like hard work Sad

Both of mine were biters, it wasn't nice. No tips or answers I'm afraid, just sympathy. It was only when they were a lot older that I could show them that it wasn't nice to bite me that I saw any improvement.

Oh Sad

I'd hoped the banshee shrieks might put her off doing it

I am not enjoying this breastfeeding one bit Sad

I think some babies do clamp down with their jaws as they fall asleep at the end of a feed. I now watch closely for signs that my DS has finished and unlatch him with my finger before he can do this. Otherwise, it hurts!
