Hurrah - my 9 week old has done a 4 hour stretch at night twice in the last week. There is hope, everyone who, like me, is used to feeding every 1.5 hours through the night!
However - I've woken up before her each time due to incredibly sore and exploding boobs.
Don't want to express before bed in case it's not a good night. Anyone else have this problem sue to better sleeps?

Yep, I sleep with a towel under me. There's not much you can do apart from grin and bear it, but it does get better fairly quickly.

Expressing makes very little difference because your boobs replenish themselves in 1.5 hrs approximately anyway! Just make sure that when you feed in the night, you swap boobs for each feed, otherwise you end up with a major leak on one side and totally drench the bed!

DD now 14 weeks, can occasionally sleep 5 hours and I only rarely leak (but still keep the towel just in case...)

It will sort itself out in a few days if she continues to sleep for longer stretches.

I used to keep the pump by the bed and if I was engorged enough to be woken by the discomfort, I would express a bit off to relieve the pressure then go back to sleep.

And if it wasn't enough to wake me then I just slept on!
