Question about baby dropping daytime feeds

My almost 8 month old has for the past 2 months or so been having approx 6oz bottle 4 times a day (7, 11, 3, 7). Recently (past week) he has been refusing the 3pm feed. I'm pretty sure he is also teething (top teeth). Would this be an appropriate age for him to naturally drop a daytime feed? He eats solids pretty well. I'm a bit unsure as he never really finishes a 6oz bottle, more like 5oz...so if he drops a feed he'll be getting 15-16oz in a 24 period, which i've read is not enough.

Any advice?

My DD is 9 months and for the past 6 weeks she has been having a 5oz bottle at 7am, dinner at 11.15ish, 5oz at 2.30, tea at 5 and 8oz at 6.30pm before bed.
If your baby is on Solids, he probably isnt needing as much milk, my HV advised me to drop the milk to 18oz which has suited my DD.
Hope this helps.

We have exactly the same problem except she is only ten weeks old! I am so bloody anxious about it as I know it means she is going to wake up more during the night (She is) I am so tired and think it is reverse cycling but don't know how to combat it, it only seems to be the actual feeding that is reverse as she is sleeping all night when she isnt feeding IYSWIM

Same here. HV was a but horrified when I told her DS (also nearing 8 months) is having 3 meals a day plus four feeds (three are bf, one bottle) plus feeding him in night when he wakes (every night). I dropped the 11.30 feed today and he didn't notice. Had a good long feed at 3pm though. Also, I was still giving him milk before a meal (hangover from when he started weaning) and have now stopped which makes him eat more solids and therefore seemed happy to drop the milk feed.

okay, will consult HV as well, but I think he's ready to give a a bottle feed...I'll probably move his kunch up to 11:30 (it's 12:30 at the moment and give him a bottle at 2pm...let's see how that works...

Thanks!
