seroxat and bfing

I've been prescribed seroxat today by my gp for PND.

I've read bfn guidelines on medication and bfing which was interesting but I'm just wondering anecdotally if anyone has taken this when bfing and if there were any effects on their LO (eg sleepy etc).

I'm not really liking the idea of taking them whilst bfing tbh. I know they must think it relatively safe in the long term for my dd but wondering if the short term she will have any side effects.

Hello Reastie :)

Sorry to hear you've got PND :( I hope you start feeling better soon. Have you got an LLL or NCT group near you? See if either one has a recent copy of Dr Hale's "Mother's Milk", there might be some info there that will help you.

Pah, it's actually called "Medication and Mother's Milk". Silly me!

I don't think I have LLL but I have an NCT branch but I don't know anyone Blush . I wonder if my hv would have it Hmm

The BFN guidelines are written by a pharmacist who specialises in BF and medication. I expect she consults Hale, among other resources.
