Is she breastfed?

LIZS · 24/12/2005 12:08

how old ? Depends on the "feed" - breastmilk should be ok, and keep trying sips of water, dioralyte etc. If she seems hungry you could try dry toast or rice (assuming she's old enough ).

shes breast fed. tried her with dry toast at 10am which she kept down and a bf an hour ago and shes asleep so fingers crossed

Breastmilk is fine to give. When dd has been ill all she usually does is breastfeed.

A tip I was given from a GP in Portugal and it always works is a few sips or spoonsfuls of cool boiled water with a teaspoon of sugar before a feed. This make the stomach absorb what goes in somehow and vomitting is avoided. My dd had severe vomitting for 5 days and after we did this is stopped.
