Stopping breastfeeding

My DS is 9.5 months. He now doesn't feed very long from me, about 3/4 minutes before going to do other things. He's no longer interested. I've tried starting him on formula but he only drink an ounce or two before refusing to drink anymore.

I don't know what to do. I've tried different brands, but its the same response

do you want to stop BF or just feel that he should be having more?

they do get pretty good at feeding efficiently when they're older. 3-4 minutes is prob ok, he'll be taking more than you think in that time

are you ready to stop breastfeeding anyway, or do you just want to stop because you're concerned that he isn't taking enouhg?

how many feeds does he have a day?

jubblicious · 26/09/2011 23:43

He feeds three to four times a day. I think he's not getting enough. In the evening he feeds for only a minute on each side before rolling away from me. He has become more grizzly since he's been feeding like this. I am concerned he's not getting enough

he might just be teething or something

3-4 min might be enough. My 6mo feeds only 3-4 min but ofc fairly often. He might have enough. Bf babies have always self regulated their feeds. Just trust them.
