Hi

My daughter is 11 weeks old and bf. She has one feed of formula before bedtime, as i wanted to get some z's and i wanted her to be able to take a bottle when i return to work.

My question is how much should she be having? I fill the bottle and she takes about 4 fluid ounces.....is this about right?

Thanks in advance

Roughly whatever it says on the can/box
If she drains it everytime, increase it. I did this but whilst DD made it look easy, DS was a pickle who chewed bottles dribbled a lot and waited till next breastfeed!
I gave up doing bedtime bottle in the end (back to breast) and did bottle at approx 3pm instead which he at least attempted to drink!

It should say on the formula packet how much they should have by weight of the baby, but 4 ounces sounds about right from what i can remember at a young age.

Does it work? (as in, how much longer will LO sleep for?) Sleep deprivation is really starting to get to me so I'd consider it. Can you do it for one or two nights a week or would LO expect it every night?

Yes, 4oz sounds right. I would fill it to 6oz though just in case.

Just to ensure that everyone looking at this is making an informed decision:
