Tips on how to get baby to latch onto big flat swollen nipple?

ds3 is 2 days old now and prefers my more sticky out nipple.
The other nipple is quite flat and big iykwim,
He gets frustrated when I try to latch him onto it.
I've tried expressing from that side first but it's not making a difference.

I would be grateful for any tips.

You could try using a nipple shield - you can get them in Boots. I used them for a bit when mine were cracked and it seemed to pull the nipple out as I recall. Good luck.

Might be worth googling 'reverse pressure softening' (sorry on phone so hard to link). I had a similar problem, learnt about this later, and wished I'd known at the time.
