Emergency formula and the effect on supply?

Hi all, my father was taken into hospital with chest pains today, so I went with him and left DS at home, I gave him big feed first thing and last thing today and came back to do a feed midday. Mid morning and mid afternoon he had his first ever bottles of formula. He's 25.5 weeks. We started weaning on solids 4 days ago, just purees at lunchtime so far. Will my milk supply be a problem tomorrow?

No, your milk supply is very well established and you will be absolutely fine tomorrow.

As an alternative to purees you might find baby-led weaning far easier and much less hassle - just a suggestion!

So sorry to heat about your dad. Hope he's ok.

Thanks Organic. I expressed after he fell asleep just to be on the safe side. I am doing a week of purees then going for blw, wanted to ease myself in gently! Smile
