How many BFs per day for your 12 mo?

My DS will be 1 in a couple of weeks and currently BFs first thing in the morning, before his mid-morning nap, mid-afternoon and before bed. I stopped night-feeds a few weeks ago.

Once he's 1 I'm planning on replacing one of these feeds with cows milk, leaving 3 BFs per day. Is this enough, do you think? How much are your 12mo's taking? Also, how much other fluid are they taking over the course of a day? My boy will drink water from a sippy cup, but rarely more than one full NUK cup, which doesn't seem like that much to me...?

My DS is nearly 13 months. If we're at home all day then as you described first thing in the morning, before his mid-morning nap, mid-afternoon and before bed. If we're out then I drop the pre-nap feeds as he's too distractable and let him fall asleep in the buggy.

He only drinks water apart from bm and no more than an ounce or two at a time but going by the colour of his urine he's hydrated so I've decided not too worry :)

I think you'll find that if your DS doesn't get enough during the day then he'll start waking at night.
