Nipple cripple!

my 7 month old DD has started twisting her head whilst she's feeding taking my nipple with her. It's bloody painful! We are also weaning at the moment. I want to continue breastfeeding but not sure I can! Any words of encouragement. Have you experienced the same thing? Does it pass? Ouch!

Is she doing it to look around at the interesting things happening rather than concentrating on the task inhand? Ds certainly went through a phase of doing that and you are right, it is very painful! You could try feeding where there are minimal distractions (darkened room, no tv etc) when you can, to see if that helps? It did pass!
