How is it different to the first infant milk? Does it have any less or any more of anything in it?

Some people have said it has more iron.
Some people have said it is less filling to make room for solids.
Some people have said it has more/less nutrients.
Some people have said it has more/less fat.
Some people have said it has more/less calories.
Some people have said it is no different whatsoever, it's just so they can market it.

So many conflicting opinions, does anyone know the truth?

I think it has extra iron, but mainly was invented to get around the advertising laws.

it has extra iron but is pretty much the same as ordinary formula. It was invented to get round the ban on advertising first milks. I did switch to it as it was cheaper and you could get offers on it, not because of any of its other claims.
