Im bottle feeding Rebecca and seem to be CONSTANTLY feeding her!

She had 5oz at 7.30am, another 5oz at 9.30am and is now on her next lot of 5oz!!!

Yesterday she took in total about 32oz in the day - 14oz of which was hungry baby milk!

Im sticking to the first milk, but whats normal? The tin says 5oz 5 times in 24 hrs..... Rebecca is taking a lot more than this, am i over-feeding or is she having a growth spurt?

This is all new as Jessica struggled to take any more than 4oz every 4 hrs at this stage!!!

Might be a growth spurt - seems that 6 weeks is quite a common time for one.

No you're not overfeeding. DS always drunk loads more than the tin said anyway. Don't worry about overfeeding at all - at this age their tummy muscles aren't strong enough to keep any extra food down - if you were overfeeding you would know about it, believe me!

So, assuming because she isnt being sick then that im not over-feeding?!

If she's a big baby she will need more than on the back of the tin - the recommended amount is for an average baby.

Don't fancy having to do your sterilising at the moment

Getting her weighed again this week... 2 weeks ago (so 4 weeks old) she was 9lbs 3.5oz (6lbs 3.5oz born)

The sterilising is a NIGHTMARE but hey.... the occasional hot soapy wash does no harm!
