Ds is 18mths and I finally think I cant go on bf and he is getting q demanding with it as a means of control I feel. How can I stop in a way that is as gentle as poss for him? Is it possible?

I can't help with the stopping but my DS is also 18 months and seems to be using BF as a form of control, so I know what you mean. He'll ask for a feed as a way of getting my attention. BF on demand seemed to be 20+ times a day! Now if he asks I try to second guess the reason and offer him a toy, biscuit, beaker of water. Often he'll accept this and tootle off again and feeds have dropped back down to a more managable level.
