silly expressing question

Is it ok to pour the milk that collects in the funnel into the bottle at the end of expressing? I never usually do because I thought there must be some reason for expressers to be designed to allow the milk only to drip in so slowly? But surely milk is milk?

i always did! can't see any reason why you shouldn't... all the milk goes through there and gets collected.

i dont see why not either. i empty the leakage whilst expressing from my breast shell into the the expressed milk after i have done mine too.

i used to get every last drop out with my finger! can't be wasting that stuff! lol

breastmilk actually has amazing antibacterial properties... so don't worry!

Cool, thanks guys! What a shame I have probably wasted loads over the past weeks, I am such a punter always think things must be such a way for a reason!
