How do I stop bfing my 16m?

I've had enough but I am unable to let DS cry...
Anyone manage to stop it gently?

When I stopped with my Ds at 18 months, I cut out feeds over a period of weeks until there were no more. He was absolutely fine doing it like that and I didn't get the engorgement or leaks that I might otherwise have had.
Dd otoh has not given up at nearly 4.8 years! but has reduced it to around 3 times a week...she tells me she loves it.
