I don't know if any of you remember this friend of mine "After 6mo your milk goes yuk" but I just wanted to say thank you to those who gave me advice. I spoke to my friend, told her what you said and now she is still bfing her 9 mo old :o (as am I)

Can't speak for my friend though I think she will go to a year. She ff her 1st so I'm really pleased to be able to support her bfing her 2nd. I'd keep going forever really (until ds self weans anyway) I absolutely love bfing ds and it has the added bonus of being the only time he sits still for a cuddle these days!

I wondered cause i think by nine months of bf and reading mn i'd realised i wanted to let ds self wean too.

I'm pg again now and ds is still bf. I'm hoping to tandem as i'm thinking it might provide rare opportunities to have both babies (and me) still and happy at once. So i completely get what you mean about bf as a way to sit and have a cuddle!

I can't imagine 'taking it away' from him when we're both so happy with bfing. I fought long and hard to get him on the boob and I'm not wasting all that effort :o

Congratulations on your pg, I'd love to know how tandeming works for you, the idea of feeding both children at once is lovely.

moonface have you had dc2? how is tandeming going? DS is 16mo and still bfing 2x day :)
