I know we often complain about the older generation but today a friend and I had a lovely compliment from an older lady. We were sitting with our dds - aged 1 and 5 months - both of us were breastfeeding the monkeys.

As the old lady went to leave the coffee shop, she stopped at our table to tell her how lovely it was to see that. So Womanly and natural. It was just beautiful to see. She was positively gushing. It was a little embarrasing but man it made such a nce change from old tsking, clucking old ladies and glaring moany old men.....

so nice

Aww that's lovely. It's great to be given such a boost. What a nice lady

That's very nice to hear

That's smashing
Same thing happened when dd was 6 weeks old and we went to France - I fed her in parks, cafes etc and had lots of nice comments from elderly ladies. At least, I think that's what they were saying - my French isn't as good as it should be....

I've had that a lot from old ladies - it makes you feel really special, like when you give blood! I think it is because their children (like my mum) were pretty much advised to formula feed and breast was not best!
