Yeah, that was me too. The only way I ever got a halfway decent amount was if I started dd off on one boob, switched her over to second boob after a minute and expressed on first.

I remeber the time that I managed to get 6oz. I was really proud of myself (I could usually unly manage 2) and then DP knocked the bottle over. I wept for hours. My boobs alwats leaked at the most inapproprite times too, like when I had a meeting with my bank manager!!!

ahh yes i remember gettin tearful when a bottle spilt too.

sorry but lol@leakin with bank manager. why is it that they leak in the most inappropriate times, tottaly cringeworthy, happens to me at wrong times, and the pads feel horrible

The Avent ones are soft and comfy.

Then at least you can collect the milk from one side while feeding on the other side.

I used to leak so much at night, I'd sleep on a towel and change it a couple of times a night.

ahhh yes, i have a pack but haven't used yet, will try them.

lol at the bottle spilling - I turned into a screaming banshee woman when I did this recently after labouring for yonks to squeeze enough out to enable us to go out for the night .....didn't go in the end as I'd had enough. I hate expressing!

I have done this and i cried buckets because i wasted it on the floor, i couldnt get my let down after i was so upset.

i know! it's terible isn't it. if you're any way stressed or bothered let down is a no show!!

ds3 mostly turns his nose up at bottle and i end up gettin me boob out anyway. than ds2 henkers after the bottle and ends up drinking it!!

found myself scraping some back off the worktop into the bottle when i spilled some today .

Although i shouldnt worry - leak all over the place so its not in short supply.

Avent breast shells are pretty good actually. Although if im not careful i can overflow them sometimes too.

The first time I ever expressed I didn't expect to get much so didn't bother sterilising the kit as I was just trying it out. I got half a large Avent bottle - and never again managed as much in one sitting. As nothing had been sterilised we couldn't use it, but thought it a shame to waste it, so out of curiousity dh and I drank it.

PrettyCandles -- lololol tastes wierd doesn't it? ds2 loves it still, from a bottle i may add. he even tries to lift my top or asks for some bless him.

What did your dh think of it pretty candles?

He was not hugely impressed by the taste! Took a bit of persuading to get him to try - the clincher was when I asked him whether he would expect his child to eat something that he wouldn't.

Mind you, I wasn't hugely impressed by the taste either! But I drank it because apparently some research in France seems to show that drinking breastmilk can reduce celulite [where's the 'oh really?' icon?].

prettycandles, but who's breastmilk are you meant to drink??
