Best formula for windy six week old...

Firstly I apologise for any beginners mistakes I make with this, but this is my first message so please bare with me.

I had to stop BF at three weeks and was advised by my HV to use Aptimal formula, this unfortunately made the wind worse, so I tried SMA, as others on here have found this has caused some constipation and discomfort, so now need to review again, HV confirmed ok to change if needed but would really appreciate any advice on the best formula to try...

Might be worth trying one of the comfort milks as they're a bit more broken down so slightly easier to digest? Aptamil and the others all do it.

All formula has to meet the same standard. After that, it's impossible to say.

Hi Blondie my DD is currently on C&G comfort, she is a windy little sod, but this seems to help the wind pass a little more easily. Also tried Aptamil comfort, worked just the same.

My little stinker is on Cow and Gate Comfort for his formula feeds. When the wind is really annoying him he gets a spoonful of gripe water- it's amazing. The smelliness of the wind hasn't changed but he passes it with no problem now.

Apparently Hipp Organic is amazing for babies suffering with reflux/wind. I've no experience of it but there was a lot of support for it on the March 2011 Babycentre forum.

I wouldn't assume that changing formula will necessarily fix things. There may be an underlying issue, like reflux. We were using Aptimil comfort but things didn't really improve until we used gaviscon and Neocate for one twin (with silent reflux and milk protein intolerance - the worst wind you can ever imagine!) and Enfamil AR for the other twin.
I'd go back to your HV and doc and mention reflux just in case.
