Breastfed - currently on day three without poo

My DD is nearly six weeks old. She's been breastfed from birth. Usually she did one poo a day, but she hasnt done a poo since Sunday evening. She doesn't seem bothered and is still feeding really well, but should I be giving her something to encourage her to poo?

After an breathtaking 11 days of no poo I did mention this to the doctor. She checked DD had passed muconium within 24 hours of being born (she had) and told me it was nothing to worry about - breastmilk having very little in the way of waste. She did tell me to make sure I was drinking enough water, though. Since then I've made an active effort to down at least 2 litres a day, and DD now goes about once every 3-4 days.....

Have just seen sparkle's post. Have to agree - definate grumpiness in the days preceding the Big Ones.

Oh god, you've taken me back to DD's epic - car covering poo - she hadn't gone for eight days and I took her out, went along a particular bumpy road and she yelled. Assumed it was just she didn't like the bump but oooohh no, there was poo, up the back of her bodysuit, in her hair and right up the back of not only her car seat but mine because it had come out at such volumes there was a splatter pattern.

I took the car to be valeted such was the level of horridness and bless them they even cleaned her car seat for me!
