Anyone had their milk sent off for testing (thrush or anything else)?

The GP seems very unconvinced by my thrush diagnosis (to be fair it's the first time i think i've had thrush so could be wrong).

He keeps talking about 'congestion' and that pumping would solve the problem Hmm

So, after one 10day course of fluconazole and things starting to improve, things have been getting worse again. Back today & he has prescribed me another 10 day course of 100mg at my request. But wants to send off a sample to test for everything/anything. If thrush doesn't show up he wants me to stop taking the fluc. (he said it would show up if i have it, but some sites say that's not true).

Confused

is he treating both of you? There's no point just treating you as the baby will just re-infect you. Have you read this?

Yes, even took it in the first time i saw him!
(offered to leave it with him but he declined, lol)

DD has the drops, and her nappy rash cleared up totally after a couple of days.

I confess to being slack with the drops after that & with the cream on my nipples as it was all clearing up.
