Going to a class which means DH will have DD (2 weeks old) for three hours.

I have pumped some milk tonight which is in the fridge.

Questions:

  1. Will it keep until Friday morning or should i freeze it?
  1. Will 4 oz be enough for one feed?
  1. How long does it last once it's heated? Or will it be ok giving it to DD at room temp?

Thanks :)

  1. it will last up to a week in the fridge (most people use 5 days). Always sniff it first to make sure it's alright

  2. 4oz will be more than enough. At this age 1-3oz is a more normal amount

  3. Up to 4 hours once heated or out the fridge. Room temp is also fine. In fact it's a great way to try and avoid a bottle preference. He might need to warm it up a little if she isn't keen, but it's all trial and error.

Excellent, thank you so much!

Room temperature suits us better as he'll be dropping our DD1 off at school then travelling to meet me. If she isn't keen he will have to use his armpit to warm it!
