after 8 difficult weeks i had it cracked. my dd feeds well enough but is always sick straight after and needs huours of winding.infacol not working.gripe water worked sometimes. she would also take a small bottle of ebm if we were out or if i had a drink, too tired WITH NO Problems. but then for the last4 weeks she refuses the bottle but still bf with a LOT of fussing, wakes every 3 hours in the night to feed and has oral thrush.her fussing is now hysterical, her wind and puking seems constant.she spent most of her last2 weeks screaming a lot in what seems discomfort unless i hold her upright on my shoulder for ages and now finally worked out all the drooling and mad chewing of fingers is her teething.bought a teether but she not taken to it yet.
i have tried drops for the thrush, never worked, been trying the gel but cant see any improvemet.treating myself also but shes had it for over a month!
her screaming gives me horrific headaches plus my exhaustion of her permantly being held, carried,nursed,winded...i dont know what to do..i feel like crying when she screams!(most of the day) i think shes starting to sense my stress too.
my head and body feels frazzled. just need to share my pain!

Poor you, sounds like an absolute sleep deprived hormonal nightmare. I remember DD having fussy eating and it's incredibly draining and you take it personally. DON'T you're doing the best things you can.

Here are some practical help/q's that I hope are of some use.

There are other drugs are can be prescribed for reflux (gaviscon, ranitidine). Check out the reflux thread, or hopefully other people with experience will come along.

You can still BF if you've had one or two drinks

For thrush see here in case there?s any information you?ve not come across before.

Do you have a DH/DP to help out. Also enlist friends, family. You need a rest, if you can pass her to someone to take out in the sling/pram and get 2-3 hours to yourself every day. Them working is no excuse, I'm the working partner in our relationship and even when I'm out the house 14 hours I still help if it's clear we're having a bad day. In fact I am well aware I have it easy by going to work.

Poor you, really feel for you. Some very good advice from penguin already but thought you might like the Cry-sis details.

Have you spoken to a Bfing Counsellor too? Do you have the phone numbers?
