Hi. I have recently created an information leaflet for mums who either choose to or have to exclusively express their breastmilk. I have been doing so successfully for over 6 months now. IT IS POSSIBLE!!

email me if you would like to read a copy of my leaflet.

[email protected]

Or find me on Facebook, Lynda McClean, Belfast.

Thanks so much for this thread. My baby is 11 days old and we haven't been able to establish breastfeeding yet so I'm expressing as much as I can and topping up with formula. I am hopeful that I might still be able to BF but if not EE will be my preference. Everyone's tips have been great and I've emailed you lynders with my email address for the leaflet.

This is so helpful I feel much more optimistic!

Excellent. I'm always so pleased to try to help out new mums who have experiences similar to my own. :)

Update re my expressing endeavours. I managed to successfully express all of my DD's milk until she was over 10 months old. Due to the difficulties of shift work and my return to work, I gradually reduced my supply and then stopped. I had so much milk I donated several litres to the human Milk bank. Exclusively expressing is difficult but it can be done. Keep Pumping. My leaflet is still available for any who would like a copy, just email me.
