Milk blister?

Not fair!!! Have had nearly a week of pain free feeding (have a three week old), having had horrible on off mastitis. Suddenly today I've noticed a cream coloured bump/lump/bubble (as if a big drop of milk had stayed on nipple and hardened) on my nipple. Breast not hard (though it is the breast I had mastitis) but nipple hurts/sore when feeding.

Does this sound like a milk blister? Or thrush? Am so depressed about having yet problem.

Very much appreciate and advice. Thank you!

It does sound like a milk blister to me. I've had a fair few of them and have treated them by sterilising a needle and very gently lifting the skin of the blister to release the trapped milk. (Apparently you're not supposed to poke the needle in, as this can get bacteria in the wound and cause an infection.) I got immediate relief from the pain doing this, and healed very fast, within a day or so. Good luck!
