Had baby Friday morning, so should be soon?

Any ideas?

With DS it came in around day 5, with DD a little sooner - around day 3... Don't worry about it though, colostrum is enough for a newborn.

ds1 took about 6 days

ds2 about 3 days

dd about 2 or 3 days

The more you feed the sooner it will come in. With DD1 it was the end of day 2 with DD2 it was Day 3 late in the afternoon.

If you had a c-section it can take a bit longer 5 or 6 days.

It usually comes in around day 3-5 but the more you feed the sooner it'll be there. Just feed, feed, feed. At the earliest whimper and first cue, feed.

Hi - my milk came through on day 5. I was worried that it would never come but I just let dd suckle away and then it arrived.

My midwife said that if the baby screamed non-stop because she was hungry I could syringe a tiney bit of formula ( 10 mls) into her mouth whilst she was suckling on my breast.

The milk will come.

Mine came in on day 5 or 6.

Funnily, I was completely oblivious so didn't have to worry. Only realised later on when I joined a breastfeeding group.

I had 3 sections and milk didn't come in until days 5-6. Seemed to take ages but they did all settle between 'feeds' so I guess colustrum was enough!

Usually day 3 and you might feel quite weepy; combination of melon-sized boobs and the changeover in hormones from pregnancy to bf. Take it easy today/tomorrow.

If you're feeling impatient, you can encourage the milk to come in by using a breast pump for 10 mins each side a couple of times a day. This worked for me because DD2 was sleepy and really wasn't feeding enough to bring in my milk.

Mine came in on day 5 - was starting to worry if it would ever come in and then it did. Although I never got the whole melon-boob thing, I only knew because of the change of colour.
