Pretty sure it is what I have. So sore. Would canestan cream help or do I need something else?

DD and I were symptom-free after 4 days of daktarin cream for nipples, gel for her mouth and canestan for her nappy rash. Remember to keep treating for at least a week after symptoms have gone though.

There is a theoretical risk of expressed milk reinfecting baby if you freeze it and use it later, but studies haven't quite agreed on whether it's ok to use. Personally I didn't throw the frozen milk away. DD has had some yesterday and this morning so will find out soon if the theoretical risk is a real one!

fifi I think it would be a good idea to wash pyjamas a lot or sleep with a bra and disposable breast pads. It's to stop the thrush lurking in your clothes and 'reinfecting' you. It went really quickly once treated all 3 times had it but some people have more trouble getting rid of it. I had it in my mouth as well once but the dc never got the nappy rash. I found it a right faff having to wash that bloody cream off every time I bf, landed up using baby wipes.
