VERY smelly wind (10 wks ebf)

DD is ten weeks and EBF. For the last few days she has had extremely smelly wind!

She doesn't seem to be in pain and nappies are the same as usual so I'm not worried, but DH is concerned as he has read that baby's wind shouldn't smell...

Can anyone confirm whether or not I should be worried, and any thoughts on the cause?

TIA!

Where did your DH read that baby farts don't smell? DD's (ebf) were always impressively stinky. Bf baby poo doesn't smell too bad, maybe that is causing the confusion.

My DS is the same age, EBF and his farts REEK!

Mine too, really smelly and really loud (quite embarressing when out in public!!!). She has being the same since birth and continous to bloody stink
at 19 weeks so completely normal IMO.

Thanks all!

Veronica, I think you're right- he must have confused wind with poo!!

my ds 8w has food intolerance and passes really foul wind if i have milk / egg. otherwise his wind doesn't smell or it smells like his poo. however, he is extremely uncomfortable and in obvious pain as well when he has the foul smelling wind!
