Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I have been bfing for the past 5 months and for the first time ever have not spent spring a sniffling, itching, grumpy mess. Does breastfeeding offer some sort of immunity to hayfever? Now just need something to deal with the insomnia....

Some mums find breastfeeding makes hayfever (asthma, allergies) better, some find it makes it worse.

While I bf my DD three years ago my normally awful hayfever didn't surface. I am now bf-ing my DS (7 weeks) and have felt a bit sniffly and itchy over the last few days, so not sure I am going to be so lucky this time Sad

Sheila I am still taking antihistamines, started taking them earlier this year as I couldn't bear the thought of being sleep deprived and itchy. But it's not nearly as bad as it usually is. If it is related to the breastfeeding my baby might be on the boob for the next decade whether he likes it or not Grin
