Infacol and gripe water

I know this has probably been asked before, but does anyone know if you can give a LO infacol and gripe water? DS is 6 weeks old and is really suffering. I am hoping I can give infacol before each feed and gripe water morning and evening (when he is suffering most).

Yes you can combine both. You should find after a couple of days the gripe water isn't needed as the infacol builds up and reduces the symptoms

Hi, I agree, I have got a 6weeks old and been giving him infacol for the past 3 weeks and he is better. He still wakes up at night with wind though but the crying is gone :)

I gave my DS infacol when he was ca 8 weeks when he had already been suffering for quite some time...it worked very well after ca 4/5 days and in hindsight think I should have given it to him earlier/at 6 weeks...

I would bin gripe water, and infancol. What really works is Colief- it is pricey and a pain to administer but IT WORKS! I went on with infacol for ages with varying degrees of efficacy, but a mate put me on to Colief. Get it in Boots.

I gave infacol at every feed and gripe water 2-3 times per day right up until DD was 4 months old.

I know there is no scientific evidence to suggest they are more than placebo but the infacol in particular really seemed to make a difference. In the end though it was time that got rid of her wind and she grew out of waking up with wind when she learnt to roll and disperse the wind herself.
